Torsten Kretchzmar - The Artist

Torsten has always been very interested in electronic pop music. His first attempt to perform Kraftwerk's 30min piece "Autobahn" on a Fisher Price keyboard at his aunts wedding wasn't very appreciated.
His second chance came during his stay in France as an exchange student. He hosted a show on the campus radio at the University of Rennes. With his limited French vocabulary he discussed the subject of UFO's and aliens from the perspective of a non-French citizen. Unfortunately his show was canceled shortly after that.
In 1999 Torsten came to the United States. He started working with video and finished 2 years later the experimental short film "The Red Box". The piece was shown at a festival in Atlanta where it evoked an interesting response from the audience.
